Shawn grew up in a small rural community outside of Danville, Virginia but also spent much of his time on Buggs Island Lake. Which is why he is so happy to be living 25 minutes from it now with his wife, Crystal and their 5 children.

Rennie Bridgman grew up on a family farm in Dinwiddie County near Fort Pickett and Blackstone, VA. The family grew tobacco, corn, grain and for a while operated a small dairy selling grade B milk. Rennie was exposed to all aspects of rural living including milking cows by hand. Although as an adult he never depended on farming for a livelihood, he has always enjoyed watching crops being planted, tended to and harvested. Rennie graduated college in 1967 with a BS Degree in business administration and his first job was with a local bank. He then developed an interests in law enforcement and criminal justice resulting in a thirty year career as a Probation and Parole officer for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He retired at the age of 55 and soon thereafter obtained a real estate license.
