Shawn grew up in a small rural community outside of Danville, Virginia but also spent much of his time on Buggs Island Lake. Which is why he is so happy to be living 25 minutes from it now with his fiancé, Crystal and their 5 children.
Shawn lives and breathes the outdoor lifestyle. His passion for land management and hunting began at a young age, learning what it takes to harvest deer and how to preserve the land they live on. Shawn started Dixie Outdoors Archery in 2009 which linked him to hundreds of hunters and landowners with the same passion.
Shawn has not only had the privilege of hunting on some of the top farms in southside Virginia, but has also been involved in scoping out and finding others prime hunting leases. Shawn has the knowledge to see the potential in a property and the skills to bring that vision to life. He definitely enjoys the land management aspect as much as he enjoys hunting.
If you are interested in hunting property, off grid property, timberland, farms or lakefront homes, Shawn can’t wait to help you find the property of your dreams.
New Jersey transplants, MaryAnn and David bought here in the Clarksville area back in 1998, and they love it here! MaryAnn raises miniature horses on their farm where they now have 19 in number and growing. David is with United Country-Virginia Realty in Clarksville, Virginia. They purchased their farm through our office. And, he was so impressed with our professionalism and Southern hospitality that David earned his Real Estate licenses in both Virginia and North Carolina and went to work with us in 2000.
Growing up on a farm and living on one most of his life, he has "theland" in his blood. Schooling at Rutgers University in business and working in middle and upper management in the manufacturing industry. Building his own home, his own boat and his own airplane has sure rounded out his life. David's life experiences makes it easy for him to directly relate to our customers wishes, wants and needs.
Joe grew up the son of a Game Warden of 30 years while learning to appreciate the outdoors for its beauty and recreational opportunities. His love of the outdoors led him to a degree in Recreation and Parks Management with a Natural Resource emphasis from West Virginia University in 1997.
After graduation, he became a State Park Ranger in North Carolina where he helped manage the beginning development for one of the largest parks in the state, Lumber River State Park. The beauty of Central Virginia called him back home where he worked as the Recreation Specialist and Tourism Director for Amherst County for 10 years.
Now a husband and father of 2 girls, Joe is right back at home in the outdoors selling land, homes and recreational properties to families and individuals who appreciate the values of nature and recreation. His dedication to land stewardship, attention to detail and love of nature makes him an excellent fit to the United Country Realtree Land Pro team!
